CustomTech partners with NoMachine to deliver Application Access
Solution
Custom Technology has partnered with NoMachine to deliver the NX
Secure Application Access solution
SYDNEY, Australia -- 14 December 2005 -- Custom Technology today announced a partnership with NoMachine, a division of Italian company Medialogic S.p.A., to provide NoMachine (NX) Secure Application Access solutions in the Australian market.
"NoMachine is a key component for Linux and UNIX Server Based Computing", said Gordon Hubbard, Managing Director, Custom Technology. "NoMachine builds on the security of SSH and the heritage of the X-Windows system but delivers impressive low bandwidth thin client access to applications running on Linux and Solaris servers."
Workstations running the NoMachine client software have integrated
access to applications running on Linux, Solaris and RDP (Windows
Terminal Services) based servers. Workstations may be Windows, Linux,
Mac OS X, Solaris or Thin Clients such as those from IGEL Technology.
Comprehensive Remote Access Solution
NoMachine NX is a terminal server and remote access solution based on
enterprise-class open source technologies utilizing the X-Window
system. Thanks to the outstanding compression, session resilience and
resource management, combined with powerful audio, printing and
resource sharing capabilities, NoMachine NX makes it possible to run
graphical applications across your network
connection as if you were sitting in front of your computer.
NoMachine Product Suite
NX software is available in three license types: Personal Edition,
Small Business Edition and Enterprise Edition. The Personal Edition is
geared towards remote workers, and users who need to access their home
or office PC quickly and securely from any location. Small Business
Edition is suitable for those companies or organizations that need to
provide application access to a small user group. Allowing up to 5
concurrent sessions you can access files, email, applications and
network resources in real time, efficiently and securely. Enterprise
Edition is ideal for the larger company and multiple-user installations
which are looking to boost productivity, build a competitive advantage
and cut costs by delivering remote access to their mobile and remote
staff. The licensing policy of per-server means that expensive CALS are
eliminated and session numbers are unlimited thus lowering TCO
considerably further.
